مشاركة رئيس المركز في المؤتمر الدولي التاسع والثلاثون للجمعية الأوروبية للأنسجة العظمية

شارك سعادة أ.د. محمد صالح بن محمد العرضاوي مدير مركز التميز لأبحاث هشاشة العظام وبعض الباحثين بالمركز في المؤتمر الدولي التاسع والثلاثون للجمعية الأوروبية للأنسجة العظمية والذي أُقيم في مدينة ستوكهولم – السويد في الفترة من 28/6/1433هـ وحتى 3/7/1433هـ وقد شارك باثني عشر بحثاً:

4.     Effect of Vitamin D Nutritional Status on Muscle Function and Strength in Healthy Women aged ≥ 60 Years

5.     Extent of Obesity in Saudi Women and The Association between Vitamin D Status and Different Measures of Adiposity

6.     Physical Activity in Relation to Serum Sclerostin, Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 and Bone Turnover Markers in Healthy Premenopausal Women: A Cross-sectional and a Longitudinal Study

7.     Prevalence of Vitamin D Deficiency in Pre- and Postmenopausal Saudi Women: A Cross-sectional Study

8.     Lycopene Supplementation Improved Bone Mineral Density, Bone Resorption and Oxidative Stress Markers in Postmenopausal Women: The CEOR Study

9.     Serum Osteocalcin is Associated with Insulin Sensitivity and Secretion in Postmenopausal Women with Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus

وكان المؤتمر يدور على عدة محاور تصب في مجال هشاشة العظام من حيث الكشف والتدبير والوقاية من هذا المرض ومدى انتشاره في العالم والمورثات الخاصة بعلاجه، وأهمية فيتامين - د في صحة العظام والعلاجات الجديدة لهشاشة العظام المصاحبة للسرطان وما تم التوصل إليه من نتائج يمكن الاستفادة منها في الأبحاث القائمة والمستقبلية بمركز التميز لأبحاث هشاشة العظام.
